Housing Education Resource Center (HERC)- We offer access to information and supportive services for housing counseling and the educational, personal and community assistance required to achieve a comprehensive solution for the specific environmental living situations encountered.
Transitional Housing for young women 17-21 years old and their children who are homeless; young adults ages 18-24 and aging out or emancipated youth from the foster care system. Special Needs Housing supports the unique individualized needs of seniors and those with disabilities which promote the greatest independence imaginable. Veterans Housing cares about how we honor and respect the increasing needs of our brave men and women and their families who served our country from past and present wars through home modifications and repairs to provide safety, accessibility and general sense well-being. We passionately provide temporary accommodation for families and individuals evicted as a result of foreclosure, bankruptcy or other economic challenges. Our services are designed to execute optimal life outcomes that facilitate physical, mental, behavioral, emotional and spiritual restoration.
Our Team has the knowledge and expertise to obtain, secure and renovate properties that will embrace energy efficiency, green technologies and universal design. We take pride in supporting our community initiatives to develop environmentally friendly affordable housing. Our comprehensive plan is to empower families through education within their individualized desires and unique housing needs by collaborating with housing agencies and the community, lending institutions, social service organizations and contractors.
As part of our diversified funding plan, we accept and or facilitate gifts of Real Estate. Our organization collaborates with a nationally recognized expert who assists in the education of community members and the organizations in answering their questions related to the planned gifting of Real Estate. Donations can be made anywhere in the world and they can include commercial and residential properties or land.
Our ultimate goal is to successfully connect individuals within our community with educational and vocational resources which allow them to complete their GED and secure gainfully skilled employment. We also prepare learners for work within the construction industry through on-site training while working with the contractors who are providing rehab and weatherization for our affordable housing program. We plan to develop education and work-force training in the sciences, math; arts and will continue to expand our work in the areas of emerging technologies.
We teach basic financial literacy to adults and youth by offering group workshops with programs that address community needs. We believe that financial literacy is critical in stabilizing families and communities and we are committed to providing the resources which will empower financial accountability and promote a sense of financial wellness.
